Buying advice
We tell you exactly which model or which parts fit what you do and your real budget. And also when you don't need to spend: often the one you have will last another three years with a new drive.
Custom-built PC
For gaming, for work or for editing. We give you the parts list with their real prices and charge for the build separately, so you can see we're not marking up the hardware. Build it yourself here and we'll confirm it.
Laptops and new machines
We source it and hand it over ready to use, with your programs and your data moved over from the old machine. With the manufacturer's warranty and an invoice.
Refurbished
Machines checked over by us, with an SSD fitted and our own written warranty. The cheapest way to upgrade, and the most sensible one for normal use.

What people always ask us
How much does it cost to have it looked at?
Nothing. We look at the machine, tell you what's wrong and what it would cost to fix, and then you decide. If you say no, you owe us nothing.
Will I lose my photos and documents?
No, and it's the first thing we secure. Before touching anything we copy your data somewhere safe. If the drive is badly damaged we tell you clearly before starting and decide together.
What if another fault turns up once it's open?
We stop and call you. We explain what's come up and what it would cost, and you decide whether we carry on. You'll never be faced with a higher price than agreed without having discussed it first.
My laptop is quite old, is it worth it?
Sometimes yes and sometimes no, and we'll tell you even if it costs us the job. An 8 or 10 year old machine with an SSD is usually perfect for browsing, email and office work. If yours has nothing left to give, we say so and help you choose one that's worth it.
Do you work with Macs?
Yes, and with laptops of every brand. What we don't do is board-level micro-soldering: if that's your fault, we tell you where to take it instead of messing you around.
Do you come to my home or do I bring it in?
We come to you. We collect the machine from your home and bring it back there. Quick faults we sort out on the spot without taking anything away.
How long do you take?
Most repairs, the same day or the next. If a part has to be ordered we give you the exact date when we give you the quote.
I have a small business. Is this for me?
Yes, and if you have several machines a maintenance contract may suit you better: fixed fee, unlimited support and everything under control. It's explained on the business page.
